The Communicator Awards is dedicated to recognizing excellence, effectiveness, and innovation across all areas of communications. It honors work that transcends craft and has a lasting impact. The Senior Planet Sponsored Athletes campaign was recognized as “exceeding industry standards in quality and achievement.”
The Communicator Awards is sanctioned and reviewed by the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts, an invitation-only group consisting of representatives from leading communications, advertising, creative and marketing firms including Amazon, Conde Nast, Disney, ESPN, Wired, GE Digital and the Wall Street Journal.
Now in its fifth year, the Senior Planet Sponsored Athletes program recognizes and honors adults age 60+ who are excited about fitness, have identified their wellness-related goals, and are willing to share their experiences to inspire other older adults. Jen Haig, 87, one of five athletes currently in the 2024 program, summed up the spirit of the program, and Senior Planet, this way—“I choose to be a rebel. Get out of your comfort zone and show the world that this is what aging and retirement look like now!”
