VOX: How boomers got so good at Zoom

At Senior Planet, participants often log on early and stay late after class to chat with fellow classmates and new friends. This element of socialization, facilitated by Zoom meetings, is essential to staying connected during the pandemic. 

Vox reporter Alex Abad-Santos spoke with his mother about her daily Zoom calls and found that, “Besides learning that my mom keeps her friends’ secrets very well, it’s clear from speaking with her and Liza that these meetings are moments of joy — moments that only began when the pandemic shut down their in-person lives last March.”
