Jesse Werthman has over 20 years of experience working with nonprofits. He joined OATS in 2013 and became the Finance Director in 2022. In addition to this role, he is also the Board Treasurer. As Finance Director he oversees all aspects of OATS finances and operations, including organizational budgets and forecasts, grant management, government contracts, accounts payable and procurement. Jesse works closely with the business development staff on grant proposals and the program staff to ensure they have the resources necessary for successful program implementation.
Born in Brooklyn, he still lives there with his wife, two daughters, and dogs. Jesse has a bachelor’s degree in music and an MFA in creative writing. He enjoys various creative activities when not working, taking care of his kids, or walking the dogs in nearby Prospect Park.
