FAQ

Unfortunately, no. We do not permit states to submit these programs for VCC consideration. The goal of OATS’ state office collaborations is to target and engage each state’s audience. Since VCC promotion opens the program up to anyone, this complicates our ability to work with other states.

Please refer to the list of available programs to see the available languages for each program. OATS can accommodate any listed time slot in English or Spanish. Please be aware that requests for deliver in languages other than English and Spanish may limit available time slots. Regardless of language, use the “Book Programs” feature and OATS will reach out if there are any conflicts.

There is no cost to state offices to book these programs.
Engagements belong to the states, though OATS does ask for you to share the registration numbers and attendance with us for our own tracking purposes.
Yes, programs can be recorded provided the recordings are only made available to those who register for 7 days after the program concludes. If you want to record, please inform OATS before the session.
We leave this up to the state office to decide. If there’s not an AARP representative, the Senior Planet trainer(s) will lead/manage the program from beginning to end without issue! Senior Planet trainers will need to be let into the Zoom meeting room (about 15 mins) if a state has opted to host on their own account. Trainers should be made co-hosts.

Based on our bandwidth, OATS may increase the number of programs State offices can schedule part-way through the year. If and when this happens, state directors will be notified.

OATS has generalized marketing materials available on AARP Self-Service. If you have a request that is not served by this platform, please reach out to Deirdre Lee (dlee@oats.org) and Nicole Alcime (nalcime@oats.org).

All programs are scheduled for 60 minutes, including participant Q&A. OATS trainers start/join the program about 15 minutes early to ensure an on-time start.
