In April, OATS was thrilled to attend the American Society on Aging’s On Aging 2022 Conference, the nation’s largest multi-disciplinary conference on aging, and sponsor the AgeTech Pavilion stage. We assembled a lineup of experts and ground-shakers in the field of aging to share thought-provoking content that explored the intersection of aging and technology. Events featured experts from the New Orleans Center for the Gulf South at Tulane University and the New Orleans Jazz Museum, the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) Foundation, The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation, AARP and the AARP Foundation, and a closing session with the CEO of the American Society on Aging.
Tom Kamber also joined Vice President of Front Porch Center for Innovation and Wellbeing Davis Park and Executive Director and Co-founder of Community Tech Network Kami Griffiths for a tactical conversation on research and aging on the main conference floor.
In addition to the ASA conference, OATS attended the 2022 American Library Association (ALA) conference & exhibition the weekend of June 24-27 to promote the Senior Planet licensing program to libraries across the nation. We were inspired by how many people stopped by the table and expressed interest in participating in the train-the-trainer program to support older adults in their respective communities.
