News4SA: “Mayor Nirenberg signs national pledge to connect one million senior citizens to Internet”

San Antonio becomes the first city in the country to commit to the "Mayors for Aging Connected" pledge, a key initiative of new OATS campaign to bring one million seniors online, "Aging Connected."

As part of its new “Aging Connected” campaign, OATS is working with public entities across the country to help bring one million seniors and offer transformational digital engagement opportunities. San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg–just in time for Digital Inclusion Week (October 5-9)–has become the first mayor in the country to sign on to the “Mayors for Aging Connected” pledge, which commits cities to promoting digital equity and supporting aging services for older adults.
