Computer Training
OATS has taught essential technology skills to more than 7,000 older adults since 2004. We teach a lot more than how to click the mouse: topics include researching health information online, accessing City services, workforce skills, staying safe online, and civic engagement. Over 80 percent of participants report feeling more connected to friends, family, and community. click here for more
Intergenerational Training
“Hyper-Linking the Generations” brings together high school students and seniors in a series of collaborative learning projects that use technology to promote cross-age connections. Students get academic or community service credit while older adults learn important technology skills. click here for more
Senior Planet Digital Community
More than 10,000 visitors a year explore resources, events, and commentary through the seniorplanet.org website. Our weekly events calendar is emailed to over 1500 seniors and caregivers across the city, and special events and video-conferences promote community among older adults from a wide range of neighborhoods and backgrounds. click here to go to the Senior Planet website
