Participants in Hyper-Linking the Generations have all been extremely positive about their experience, reporting improvements in teaching and public speaking skills, greater interest in helping people in the community, and improved confidence in applying for college and jobs. Over 80 percent of youth participants rated the experience as excellent or very good.

  • 49% of students report improved teaching skills
  • 45% of students report improved public speaking skills
  • 88% of students report that they are more interested in helping people in the community
  • 75% of students report that they are more confident in their ability to apply for a job
  • 61% of students report that they feel more confident in their ability to apply for college
  • 86% of students report that they are likely to write about the experience for a college application
